The following policies reflect both policies of this website www.sewandquiltstore.com
and all of our local stores. 

1. We will comply with applicable laws. We will may not offer for sale or sell an item to any customer in a jurisdiction where the item violates applicable laws or regulations. We also may not offer for sale any item that violates Yahoo!'s policies as described below in "Items that are Prohibited by Yahoo!."

2. We will provide accurate information. We will accurately describe the store and the items We are selling. We will not include any language in our product or store descriptions, including the name, which may confuse potential customers or cause our products or store to be included in search results that don't accurately describe our products or store.

3. We provide accurate contact information. We  provide an accurate company address, phone number, email address, and return policy in the information section of ourr store.

4. We maintain a Privacy Policy.  We will collect only customer personal information associated with our customer service.  We will not sell or distribute customer personal information to anyone except as necessary to process product sales and distribution of product. 

5. We engage in ethical marketing practices. We do not transmit   "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," unsolicited advertising, or other unsolicited mass distribution of email.  We will send our newsletter and local customer updates only to those customers who request them.  Every email will contain instructions on how the customer may cancel their subscription.

6. We will only use legitimate merchant services acceptable to Yahoo web services.

7. We will never list "adult oriented" materials, inappropriate products, or market in an objectionable manner, as determined in Yahoo!'s sole discretion.  We will not sell products harmful to minors, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.  We will not sell illegal or restricted products, weapons, accessories, firearms, ammunition, switchblade knives, concealed weapons, explosive devices, martial arts weapons, cigrettes, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs, medical devices, any product requiring a license (not currently held), any item that violates U.S. export law or regulation, any item that violates copyright, trademark, or rights of third parties (Unauthorized copies of software, music, video games, movies, photos, or other media), counterfeit or stolen products, any product that is associated with hate or violence or their proponent groups, animals, any item subject to recall by U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission or other agency, any item used for unauthorized access to any type of cummunication device, body parts, fireworks or explosives or any hazardous material or restricted substance, any product restricted under federal or state law, stocks or securities, gambling items, any non-transferable product or service, tickets, food items, any used product inappropriate for safety, health, or other reasons, any item that violates any federal, state, or local regulation or law.

8. We will use only acceptable Yahoo! Shopping logos and language.as detailed by  Yahoo! Media Relations and its guidelines for acceptable language.

9. We will use only those marketing activities acceptable to Yahoo Web Services.  We will not send email to those who have not requested it. We will not send email with a fake return address.  We will not promote a web site with inappropriate links, titles, descriptions, etc.  We will not post identical  multiple submissions to public forums.

10. Local Store LAYAWAYS:  Initial Purchase: Complete a purchase form in the sales book the same as cash sale.  Layaways on new sewing machines, software, and used sewing machines require 25% down and 3 monthly payments with tax on the total  to be added to the final payment.    If the item is not paid in full within 30 days of the final due date, all monies will be forfeited.  Every effort will be made to contact the customer in case of any overdue payment. 

11. Local Store SPECIAL ORDERS:  All special orders must be paid for in advance.    Once product is delivered.  Customer is notified immediately.  No special order merchandise is returnable.

12. Local Store RETURNS: No cut fabric returns are accepted.  No special order merchandise is returnable.    All returns must be in a re-salable condition.   All returns must be accompanied by a sales receipt dated not more than 10 business days prior to the date of return.   All returns over $50.00 (Sewing Machines, Furniture, Large Ticket Items) shall be subject to a restocking fee of 25%.)   Upon approval of Manager, Returns may be exchanged for store credit certificate to be redeemed within sixty days.

13. Online Sales & Returns:  Fabric must be purchased in 5 yard cut minimums, except when sold as part of a kit or fat quarter or similar precut item.  All products to be returned must be in their original packaging with original sales receipt.  Products may be returned within thirty days for full refund minus shipping and handling.
